Zara Home’s new collection titled “Greenery” favours the use of vibrant and fresh leaves to the Max, and literally as Zara say “create an oasis of vitality”. The more plants the better to create a natural world of beauty that lets the plants control the space, therefore colour palettes should be calm and inviting to enable the room to feel peaceful and at one with nature. The Scandinavian style that’s dominating our homes and travel destinations has inspired the use of nature in interiors, as a couple of seasons ago plants wouldn’t be the number one choice for home-ware accessories, yet now the tables have turned. With Scandinavian design being inspired by the Nordic materials, land and countryside through rooms being simple and comforting this inspiration is now changing the way we design our interiors.
Zara Home’s colour palette has taken a warmer approach to the favoured monochrome and neutral style of typical Scandinavia. They’ve taken the new dusky neutrals that are set to be a huge trend this summer. Neutrals of peach, dusky pink and sage green are all part of the colour palette Zara has created. Soft bedding in floral patterns and neutral shades and light wooden furniture are the forefront of the collection, along with an intriguing decorative insect accessory plastered in gold metal for a warm touch.
